High Mobility has expanded its coverage to include electric vehicles across the Volkswagen Group, bringing enhanced charging data and broader model support to the platform. This update enables businesses to access deep, OEM-grade EV data without additional integrations or hardware.

A key part of this release is the introduction of new charging datapoints, designed to give a more complete and actionable view of vehicle charging behaviour. The charging rate provides near real-time visibility into how quickly a vehicle is charging, enabling optimisation of charging strategies and cost control. Current type indicates whether the vehicle is using AC or DC charging, which is essential for analysing charging efficiency and infrastructure usage. Plug status shows whether the vehicle is physically connected to a charger, supporting use cases such as idle time detection and charger availability management. Time to complete charge offers an estimate of how long a charging session will take, allowing for better planning of vehicle usage and turnaround times. Charging status delivers the overall state of the session, such as charging, paused, or completed, which is critical for monitoring and automation workflows.

Alongside these new datapoints, a wide range of Volkswagen Group EV models are now supported on the platform. This includes vehicles from Volkswagen, Cupra, and Škoda, such as the ID.3, ID.4, ID.5, ID.7, ID. Buzz, Cupra Born, Cupra Tavascan, Škoda Elroq, and Škoda Enyaq. The addition of these models significantly increases the availability of connected EV data across multiple brands within a single integration.

Looking ahead, High Mobility will continue to expand coverage as new vehicle platforms are introduced. In the coming months, the Volkswagen Group will roll out Audi models built on the PPE and PPC platforms, including vehicles such as the A5 and A6. This will further increase overall vehicle eligibility across the group and extend access to high-quality EV data.

By unifying access to these vehicles and datapoints, High Mobility enables fleet operators, mobility providers, and developers to build EV-focused applications more efficiently, reduce integration overhead, and deliver better services based on reliable, manufacturer-grade data.
